what are the ged ready™ practice tests?
The GED Ready ™ tests are practice exams that give students an opportunity to experience a computer-based exam format. You will have an opportunity to practice editing techniques such as cut, copy, and paste, drag and drop, and use the on-line version of the GED approved Texas Instruments TI-30XS.
The scores from the GED Ready ™ practice tests are used to predict your readiness to take the GED® Subject tests in Mathematics, Language Arts, Science, or Social Studies. San Mateo Adult School uses practice test scores to place students in GED preparation classes that best meet their current instructional needs while preparing them for answering questions that reflect the new requirements of the Common Core Standard.
Each GED Ready™ test is shorter than the corresponding GED® Subject tests, however, the exams cover the same content area as the actual GED® Subject tests. The following lists the amount of time allocated to take each GED Ready™ test:
