Age Requirement
The minimum age for GED testing is 18 years old. However, if a student is 17 years old and is within 60 days of his or her 18th birthday, that student is eligible to take the GED test and/or to participate in GED preparation classes. California Age Eligibility policy.
How to Register for Orientation
You must visit the Adult School SMART Center to sign up for an Orientation meeting in person. When you register, you will also receive additional information on how to create an email address and a GED.com account. These accounts must be ready to use BEFORE you attend your orientation.
Email Account
You must have an email address to participate in an Adult School Orientation. You must have an email address to create a GED.com account. The GED.com account will be used extensively for practice tests and official subject testing. If you do not have an email address, you can create a free account on a number of Internet sites. GED.com Account
BEFORE attending Orientation, you must also create a GED.com account. You will receive written instructions and you may ask for help if you cannot creating these accounts by yourself.
